Humulus lupulus 'Nugget'
HOPS
Easy grower, this plant can be grown in average, medium moisture, and well drained soil and is somewhat tolerant of drought once established in the landscape. Rich, coarsely serrated green leaves add great texture. Flowers are quite insignificant, but are green and bloom in late summer. They have a pine-like fragrance that attracts butterflies. After the flowers, cones are produced, which are commonly used in breweries to preserve the flavor of beer.
