This variety was developed in Danvers, Massachusetts in the late 1800s. It is the leading main crop variety for home and market, and it stores well. Bright orange flesh is nearly coreless, sweet, and tender. Uniform roots reach up to 8" long. High yields in clay or heavy soils.
