TREE PEONY

Tree Peony Paeonia

Peaonia suffruticosa 'Kaoukamon' has gorgeous, rich flowers that are a little smaller than other varieties. The dark maroon flowers will add a dramatic touch to the garden. This is a slower growing peony, but is well worth the wait.

Tree Peonies (Paeonia suffruticosa) grow much like a shrub. They have woody stems that do not die back to the ground each winter. Their unique colors and blooms are produced in late spring 2-3 weeks before most Garden Peony varieties. Tree Peonies often require 4 to 5 years to flower but when they do it becomes worth the wait. The flowers can reach an amazing 12" across.
