Romence Gardens ships to the continental US via Federal Express. We only ship out live plants on days that will result in them not spending the weekend in transit. However, plants may arrive on Saturday, please advise us if Saturday delivery is not acceptable. After you place your order we will contact you with a shipping date. We will also let you know at this time about any availability issues with your order. We will not ship substitutions without prior approval from you. During shipping season most plants are shipped the same or next legitimate shipping day based on the prior criteria. Please be aware that during much of pre-season ordering many of the plants are not even planted or growing yet. Occasionally availability issues can occur that are beyond our control. We will do our best to keep you advised if any such situation should occur in a timely manner.
You can use the image to the right to determine the expected delivery duration. The chart to the right shows the shipping duration excluding the shipping day.
Beginning in January pre-season order of plants will be available. You may place your order at this time but plants will not ship until late April for perennials and late April to mid May for annuals depending on your hardiness zone. For southern zones most annuals should be available by late April, however shipping is subject to weather conditions and maturity level of the plants at the time. We continue to ship through the summer and fall as long as the plants are available.
Our shipping boxes have been custom designed for the safe transport of plants. You will not receive bare root plants but instead growing plants potted in soil ready to plant into your garden. Your plants are going to be thirsty from their long voyage. Please open the boxes and remove the plants immediately to check the plants' condition and give them some water. If there is visible damage to the boxes due to inappropriate handling we need to be informed about that within 24 hours of receipt so we can file a claim. However, due to our container design, many times the plants are still secure and unhurt inside. If your plants are damaged upon arrival or do not meet your satisfaction, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your shipment.
