Acer palmatum dissectum 'Crimson Queen'
A cascading branching tree with finely dissected red leaves in spring that darken to a deep purple-red in summer and then change to a crimson red in the fall. Has a great weeping habit. Excellent color retention throughout the growing season.
|| This tree does better in partial shade because the leaves tend to get scorched in full sun in southern climates. Should avoid planting in locations that are hot and dry and be in a place that is protected from strong winds. It does not have any serious insect or disease problems and is easily grown in moist, well drained soils.
