Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple'

Beautiful dark purple foliage with contrasting red leaf margins and veins changes to scarlet in the fall. Small flowers may be insignificant, but when they fade, give the plant the smoky effect it is known for. Great height and drama for landscapes.

Versatile plant in that it can be kept as a shrub or trained into a tree. Very little pruning required other than to help maintain it's shape. It is an upright, loose and open, well branched and spreading plant. Mainly used for it's unrivaled fall appearance. |
