Tomato - Grafted Heirloom Lycopersicon

Tomato 'Brandywine Pink' is a fantastic heirloom variety that produces scarlet fruit that weigh about 1-2lbs. The fruit have a high sugar and acidic flavor.  It is commonly heralded as one of the world's best tasting tomatoes.


When tomatoes are grafted, a variety bred for flavor is grafted onto a vigorous and disease resistant rootstock.  The result is a delicious tomato with heirloom flavor, superior disease resistance and a bountiful harvest.

The graft must be planted above soil level, and prune lateral suckers for best fruiting.  If you look closely you will see the graft at the base of the stem.  Do not allow the top plant to begin to root into the ground or you will loose the benefits of the grafting.
