Welcome to our Gardens! 

We are currently taking pre-orders for the 2012 season.  Order early for best availability.  We will begin shipping perennials in mid to late April and annuals in early to mid May depending on your hardiness zone and our weather conditions at the time of shipping.  

Remember, to aid in selecting your plants you can create a favorites list by clicking the little heart right next to the plant price.  This list will be saved for you to spend as much time as you need selecting plants.  When you are ready they can then be added to your shopping cart from the list or printed out and brought into our store.

Common Name: Artichoke

Artichoke 'Imperial Star' produces lots of sweet tasting artichokes from mid-summer into the fall. The artichokes reach about 4 1/2 inches in size and are thornless for an easy and painless harvest. The plant reaches a height of 4 feet and has attractive grey/green foliage.


Arugula
Common Name: Arugula

Arugula is a fast growing salad green that does well in cool season. Mix in with other leafy greens for a tasty and nutritious salad. It has a distinctive, sharp, nutty flavor when picked young.


Asparagus 'Mary Washington'
Common Name: Asparagus
Asparagus 'Mary Washington' should be grown in either full or part sun and dry to average soil.

Beta 'Bright Lights'
Common Name: Swiss Chard
Swiss Chard Bright Lights has colorful stems of yellow, gold, orange, pink, violet, green, and striped stems along with the standard red and white stems. A colorful mix that will be an attractive plant for the garden or ornamental use. It has a mild flavor and tender bronze or dark green leaves. An exciting plant to have whether it gets harvested or not.

Brassica oleracea 'Cheddar'
Common Name: Cauliflower
Cauliflower Cheddar is a fun variety to have in the garden not only because of it's orange heads, but also because it has 25% more beta carotene than standard white varities. The heads have a uniform dome shape and weigh approximately 2 pounds. It is also an excellent source of Vitamin A. This cauliflower is a healthy choice for your family and kids may even like it because of the color!

Brassica oleracea 'Fast Vantage'
Common Name: Cabbage
Cabbage Fast Vantage is an early-season variety with a very uniform habit. It has medium green heads that weigh approximately 2 1/2 pounds.

Brassica oleracea 'Georgia'
Common Name: Collards
Collards Georgia is a popular variety that is high yielding. It produces tender, moist greens on non-heading plants. Collards are heat and cold tolerant and prefer moist, well drained soil. An excellent choice for a bountiful harvest.

Brassica oleracea 'Packman'
Common Name: Broccoli

Broccoli Packman is a great variety that produces, large 8 inch heads. This delicious broccoli freezes well for longer enjoyment. Packman will not bolt in the heat, so it is an excellent choice for those in warmer climates or those who plant for a late season harvest. 


Brassica oleracea 'Royal Marvel'
Common Name: Brussels Sprouts
Brussels Sprout Royal Marvel is an extra early variety with wingless and uniform 1" sprouts. The sprouts are round, dark green, and are great whether fresh or frozen. The plants are easy to harvest, have a high yield, and produce great tasting sprouts.

Brassica oleracea 'Snow Crown'
Common Name: Cauliflower

Cauliflower Snow Crown is a vigorous grower with 1 - 2 pound white heads. It is great for fresh and frozen use. Heads are 7" - 8" in diameter, are packed with vitamin C, and have a mildly sweet flavor. There is no hurry to harvest the heads, because this variety holds its eating quality for up to 10 days in the garden.


Capsicum 'Anaheim'
Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper Anaheim produces spicy fruit that is often used for stuffing. Fruit is long, of medium thickness, and turns red when it is ready for harvest.


Capsicum 'Jalapeno Conchos'
Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper 'Jalapeno Conchos' is a spicy, hot pepper that produces dark green cylindrical fruit. Peppers are great for stuffing, salsas, and pickling. It is a tall plant that produces good yields of fruit that are easy to pick. The peppers can be picked at 65 days when they are green or they can be left on for 90 days when they turn red.

Pepper 'King of the North' is an heirloom variety that produces medium size, bell shaped fruit with a nice, sweet flavor. Fruit starts out green and then matures to red. This is a great choice for short-season growers where seasons are cool and short.

Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper 'Poblano, Ancho' is a great chile pepper that has a medium-hot flavor. The heart shaped fruit is dark green and is used to make chile rellonos and mole. When eaten fresh it is referred to as Poblano and when dried it is called Ancho.

Pepper 'Baron' is a fantastic variety that produces thick walled, heavy fleshed fruit. The blocky fruit is about 4 inches in length. Fruit matures from green to red.


Capsicum annuum 'Better Belle'
Common Name: Sweet Belle Pepper
Pepper Better Belle is an early and very tasty variety. It has blocky, thick-walled, four lobed fruit. Plants maintain a large fruit size and production all season. This pepper is Tobacco Mosiac resistant. Harvest when fruit turns green or leave on the plant until they turn red for more intense flavor.

Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper Giagante Jalapeno produces large peppers that can measure up to 5" long! These peppers are great for stuffing or salsa and can be grown in large patio pots. Can be harvested throughout the summer when they are green or red.


Capsicum annuum 'Hot Lemon'
Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper Hot Lemon is an heirloom variety from Ecuador. It produces 3" to 4" long fruit that ripen to yellow and are as hot as any Cayenne. Fruit has tender skin and a spicy aroma that has a hint of pine. The unique flavor makes these peppers best for drying or used fresh in sauces.


Capsicum annuum 'Pinot Noir'
Common Name: Sweet Bell Pepper

Pepper 'Pinot Noir' adds fun color to salads, stir fries, and other dishes. The bell-shaped peppers are light green when young and then mature to shades of berry and red. Fruit has firm, thick walls and has nice clean, sweet, and refreshing flavor.


Capsicum annuum 'Ristra Cayenne Hybrid'
Common Name: Hot Pepper

Pepper Ristra Cayenne Hybrid produces fruit that start off lime green and ripens to a bright crimson color. Peppers are extremely hot, approximately 12" long, and are perfect for drying. These are easy to grow peppers that are heavy producers. Make sure to pick the peppers as soon as they are ripe to get a large harvest. Common Name: Watermelon

Watermelon Sugar Baby has thick, dark green skin and early fruit that are 6" - 8" long and weigh 6 - 10 lbs. It is a great variety that has firm, sweet flesh that is red with dark brown seeds. Compact vines make a perfect choice for places with not a lot of space. A personal size watermelon that is a refreshing treat on a hot summer day!

Common Name: Spaghetti Squash
Squash Vegetable Spaghetti produces oblong, mid-size yellow fruits that have a tasty pasta-like texture. Fruit reach a length of 8 - 12". It is harvested in late summer to early fall and can be stored for several months in a cool, dry location.

Common Name: Pumpkin

Pumpkin Casper is fun white variety that is a great choice for carving or painting. Thick orange flesh can be eaten and white skin is less bluing than other varieties. Pumpkins are 10 lbs - 16 lbs and 9" - 12" in size.


Cucurbita pepo 'Howden'
Common Name: Pumpkin

Pumpkin Howden is a great choice for carving! Pumpkins are 20 lbs - 30 lbs in size and are on vigorous, spreading vines. They are an old time favorite with bright orange coloring and attractive, defined ribs. Four to five pumpkins can be expected from each plant.

Pumpkin Jack Be Little is a cute variety that produces small pumpkins that are perfect to decorate with. The vines grow up to 10 feet and can produce as many as ten pumpkins each. This is a fun variety to grow!

Gourd 'Galaxy of Stars' is a fun mix of star shaped fruit that is perfect for fall decorating. They come in many different colors such as, yellow, cream, orange, green and white with varying striped patterns.


Lactuca 'Buttercrunch'
Common Name: Bibb Lettuce

Lettuce Buttercrunch is considered to be one of the top quality Bibb-type varities. It has a nice buttery texture that is great in salads. Heads are 4" - 5" with dark green outside and a creamy yellow color on the inside. An easy to grow lettuce that prefers moderately moist, well fertilized soil.
