Plants are now available for 2012 pre season ordering.  We will begin shipping perennials in mid to late April and annuals in early to mid May depending on your hardiness zone and our weather conditions at the time of shipping.

Acanthus mollis
Common Name: Bear's Breeches
Acanthus mollis is big and bold plant. It has some of the finest foliage in the plant kingdom. The large deeply lobed leaves are accompanied by 3' tall racemes. Each raceme is loaded with white flowers and purple shaded bracts. The leaves have been inspiration for many important architectural designs. A great alternative to Hosta in the shade border.

Achillea 'Moonshine'

Achillea 'Moonshine' is the perfect selection for those dry, sunny areas where nothing else will grow. 'Moonshine' has wonderful ferny foliage topped with canary yellow flower clusters. The plants begin blooming in early summer and flowers last for many weeks. If the plants are cut back after the first flowering they will rebloom again in late summer.

Achillea millefolium 'Paprika'

Achillea millefolium 'Paprika' offers beautiful red and paprika colored blooms above delicate, silver-green, ferny foliage. Very drought tolerant once established. This Yarrow forms a compact, spreading mound. Makes a great longlasting addition to cut flower bouquets.

Achillea 'Pomegranate' is a wonderful variety not only because of its beauty, but also for its easy maintenance. The rich, velvety-red flowers make a striking impact in the garden. Foliage is robust and disease resistant even in hot, sticky seasons. This variety is sturdy, compact, and is very adaptable in the landscape.


Achillea millefolium 'Saucy Seduction'
Common Name: Yarrow

Achillea 'Saucy Seduction' produces a significant amount of long-lasting blooms in vivid hues. It has a dense, sturdy, columnar habit, and stellar garden performance even in hot, humid conditions. The flowers are large rosy-pink heads with subtle white shading, which bloom from June to August. The rich green foliage has silvery highlights and forms dense upright columns.

 


Achillea millefolium 'Strawberry Seduction'
Common Name: Yarrow
Achillea millefolium 'Strawberry Seduction' PPAF is part of the Blooms of Bressingham Seduction Series of Yarrow. Members of this series exibit steller garden performance, long-lasting blooms on sturdy stems, and a dense columnar habit of lush, deer resistant foliage. 'Strawberry Seduction' PPAF has wonderful red hued flowers atop the silver tinged, green foliage. Grows great in hot and humid areas of the country. A great cut flower too.

Achillea millefolium 'Wonderful Wampee'
Common Name: Yarrow

Achillea 'Wonderful Wampee' has gorgeous, rich pink flowers that bloom from about June to August. As the blooms age they elegantly fade to white with pink hues edging the petals. It has a fantastic compact habit with healthy foliage that is disease resistant. 'Wonderful Wampee' will give excellent heat tolerance, long bloom time, and beautiful color to the garden.


Aconitum fischerii
Common Name: Monkshood

Aconitum fischeri produces beautiful, blue flowers on thick, sturdy stems that do not need staking. The foliage is dark green and deeply dissected allowing for interest all season long. It prefers moist, partially shaded areas and will begin to bloom mid to late summer.


Aconitum napellus
Common Name: Monkshood
This variety boasts deep violet blue flowers held on very strong, sturdy stems. Does not require staking. Really makes a statement in the partial shade garden because of its size and beautiful color. Often mistaken for Delphinium in our gardens.

Common Name: Five Finger Northern Maiden Hair Fern
This native, deciduous fern is very hardy when planted in moist, well draining soil. The soft, fluffy fronds with wiry black stems look very delicate. Clump forming but will form colonies over time.

Agastache 'Ava'
Common Name:

Agastache 'Ava' is a gorgeous giant hyssop that will make an impact wherever it is planted. The spikes of rose-pink flowers have raspberry-red calyxes and bloom mid to late summer and go into the fall. It is a hybrid between Agastache cana and Agastache barberi that is deer resistant. The fragrant flowers attract hummingbirds and look great in dried arrangements.

Use in rockgardens, beds, and borders. Sonora Sunset is sometimes commonly called mosquito plant because rubbing the aromatic foliage on your skin is reported to repel mosquitoes.

Agastache rupestris
Common Name: Rock Anise Hyssop
Often called licorice plant because of its absolutly deliciously scented foliage. The striking warm orange flowers with silvery foliage make this a must have. Hummingbirds and butterflies love this plant. Blooms from early summer until frost.

Ajuga 'Dixie Chip'

Ajuga 'Dixie Chip' PPAF is a charming colorful variation of Ajuga 'Chocolate Chip'. Small, narrow, variegated leaves are shades of green, rose-purple, and cream. Short violet blue flowers appear in spring above the colorful foliage. A fantastic groundcover for that dry shady spot.

Akebia quinata
Common Name: Five Leaf Akebia
Pretty purple flowers give off a scrumptious chocolate fragrance. Blue-green leaves are a wonderful contrast to the flowers and are in palm-like leaflets consisting of 3 to 5 leaves. The plant should be pruned very hard in the spring to control growth.

Alchemilla erythropoda 'Alma'

Alchemilla mollis 'Alma' is an adorable, shorter version of mollis. It is a compact variety with scalloped, blue-green fuzzy leaves and blooms earlier than other Alchemilla. In early summer the light foam-like sprays of chartreuse green appear above the foliage. Its beauty extends into the fall when the blooms and stems turn burnt orange in color.

A unique Allium that is distiquished by its nodding lilac-pink flower heads. Easy, dependable and very drought tolerant once established. A US native.

Alstroemeria 'INCA ICE'
Common Name: Peruvian Lily

Alstroemeria 'INCA ICE' forms an upright clump of bushy green foliage. The top 1/4 of the plant becomes engulfed with beautifully, soft flowers. Blooms are apricot-pink and creamy yellow with brown speckling and appear in mid to late summer. Full umbels can carry up to 20 or more flowers.


Ampelopsis 'Elegans'
Common Name: Porcelian Vine
A tendril climbing fast growing vine that has green flowers that are not very showy, but are followed by blue berries. Best fruiting occurs with plants that get more sun. Has a similar habit to wild grade vines. The foliage is tri-lobed and variegated with white. Best foliage color occurs when the plants have some light shade. Flowers and fruit occur on new growth, so it can be pruned to the ground in late winter to control size.

Amsonia hubrichtii
Common Name: Arkansas Blue Star
A graceful and long lived native plant with fine willow like foilage. 2"-1 3" Pot culsters of steel blue star shaped flowers in Spring. Prized for its golden yellow fall display. Very resistant to insect and disease problems.

Anaphalis margaritacea
Common Name: Pearly Everlasting
A North American native plant that grows to 3' tall An upright, clump-forming plant that features attractive, narrow, woolly, silver-gray foliage and tiny, white, globular flowers with yellow centers. Fluffy flower heads are valued for dried flower arrangements.

Andropogon gerardii 'Indian Warrior'
Common Name: Bluestem - Big

Andropogon 'Indian Summer' is a tall, ornamental grass that forms an upright clump of green foliage that gradually changes to dusky purple tones as early as mid-summer. The deep purple inflorescence appear atop reddish stems in late summer and open up to showcase the bright orange-red pollen sacs. With the cooler weather, the foliage transitions from green to smoky purple with hints of red. This native grass is a beautiful addition to the landscape.

Anemone 'Robustissima' has large 2"-3" pink flowers that are born above the deep green foliage. Blooms in the fall much earlier than other Anemone varieties. Angelica archangelica is a large, attractive plant that has multiple uses. It looks great when used as a landscape plant, but can also be used as an herb. People use the sweet leaves and stalks of the plant for garnishes and candies. The white umbels of flowers make a nice contrast against the green leaves and are a favorite of butterflies, and bees.

Asarum europaeum is an outstanding glossy leaved, evergreen groundcover for the shade garden. The magnificent burgundy blooms appear below the foliage and are seldom seen unless you know what to look for. Since the blooms are hidden this plant is grown mainly for its heart-shaped foliage. An excellant evergreen groundcover that naturalizes well.

Asarum splendons
Common Name: Wild Ginger

Asarum splendens is an ideal groundcover for shady gardens forming a nice, thick mat of foliage. The large leaves are an elongated, heart shape and dark green in color with an exquisite mottled, shimmering silver pigment running throughout. They produce purple flowers in early spring that are at soil level. Although not showy, the flowers are a nice surprise if you peak underneath the leaves.

Asclepias incarnata is a fantastic plant that attracts all kinds of butterflies. A must have for all butterfly gardens with its clusters of beautiful pink flowers. The foliage is similar to that of Willows and is 4" - 5" long. Swamp Milkweeds like consistantly moist soil and full sun.  


Asclepias syriaca
Common Name: Swamp Milkweed

Asclepias syrica is a hardy plant that is a vigorous grower and drought tolerant once established. It is an upright plant with broad leaves and slightly drooping clusters of fragrant pinkish-purple flowers. When crushed the leaves and stems emit a milky residue hence the common name milkweed. Leaves are also a great source of food for monarch butterfly larvae.


Asclepias tuberosa

A tough, drought tolerant native with 3 months of bright tangerine-orange blooms. After flowering the green fruits are filled with silvery-white, silky seeds. Attracts butterflies of all kinds especially Monarchs. Very showy.

Aster ericoides 'Snow Flurry'
Common Name: Heath Aster
A very low dense carpeting groundcover that is smothered in ½" sigle white flowers with gold centers. Looks nothing like the Asters you are used too. Highly recommended.

Aster novae-angeliae 'Purple Dome'
Common Name: New England Aster
Dome shaped deep-purple flowers with yellow centers. Neatly mounded plants that show good disease and mildew resistance.

Aster tartaricus 'Jindai'
Common Name: Tatarian Daisy
Clusters of sky blue single flowers top large deep green basal clumps of leaves. The leaves can reach 18" long and 5" wide. This is a speading Aster but is easily controlled if given room to grow.

Astilbe 'Younique Carmine'

Frizelliae' is one of the most distinctive ferns. A dwarf, deciduous cultivar which typically grows to 12" tall and features very narrow, 12-18" long fronds with rounded, bead-like pinnae attached to the mid rib somewhat like a delicate beads strung on a necklace.
