Romence Gardens Shipping Information

Romence Gardens ships to the continental US via Federal Express. Romence Gardens will not ship out live plants on days that will result in the possibility of them spending a weekend stuck in a warehouse. Please see the image to determine the distance from our Michigan based greenhouses to your location and the expected delivery duration. Hardgoods will ship the same or the next Federal Express business day.

Our growing houses are located in zone 5 and therefore we will ship only when weather conditions on our end as well as yours preclude freezing or sizzling temperatures. Beginning in February early order of plants will be available. You may place your orders at this time but plants will not ship until early to mid April for Perennials and early to mid may for Annuals. These dates will be subject to the weather at the time in our location, en route and the destination.

Romence Gardens does not inflate online prices to absorb shipping cost. When you buy online you pay what our local customers pay. Our shipping boxes have been custom designed for the safe transport of plants. You will not receive bare root plants but instead growing plants potted in soil. If our shipping rates seem high it is because we want your plants to arrive in the same condition you do.

Your plants are going to be thirsty from their long voyage. Please open the boxes and remove the plants immediately to check the plants' condition, and to water and place plant material in proper light. If there is visible damage to the boxes apparently occurring during transit due to inappropriate handling, we need to be informed about that within 24 hours of receipt so we can file a claim. However, most likely due to our container design the plants will still be secure and unhurt inside. If your plants are damaged upon arrival or do not meet your satisfaction, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your shipment.
